This safari takes you to Kidepo Valley National Park via Murchison Falls and retreats through Jinja, the source of the river Nile.
With a rich and diverse landscape, flora and fauna covering over 5,072 Square kilometers, Murchison falls national park is home to a record 87 mammals, over 370 bird species and 14 reptiles. This is Uganda’s oldest and biggest national park, established in 1952.
The park has high populations of Lions, Leopards, Hyenas, Elephants, Buffaloes, Giraffes, Hippos, and several Antelope species, shoebill stork and primates in Budongo Forest.
Kidepo Valley National Park, located in the far Northeastern Uganda is one of the best places you must visit while in Uganda. Commonly referred to as the true African wilderness, this park is blessed with abundance of flora and fauna, beautiful scenery and the interesting cultures of the surrounding Karamojong communities. This Itinerary will get you closer to both wildlife, culture and as well as water spots in Jinja; the adrenaline capital of East Africa.

You will arrive at Entebbe International Airport and will be met by our representative who will transfer you to your booked hotel at Entebbe. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. |

DAY 2: ENTEBBE – MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK |

Today, you shall wake up early for your morning breakfast, prepare to check out and start your transfer journey to Murchison Falls National Park. En-route, you shall have a stopover at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a walking safari to see the endangered White Rhinos. At the sanctuary, look out for other animals like the bush back, Uganda kobs and several birds.
From here you shall set off for Murchison Falls with en-route lunch at Kabalega Dinners, reaching the park in the early evenings with a visit to the top of Murchison Falls for aerial views and a short game drive en-route to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Murchison Falls lies on the northern end of the albertine rift valley and is Uganda’s largest national park. The park is home to 76 mammals, 451 bird species and is bisected by the Victoria Nile which plunges down 15 meters through an 8 meter wide gorge to form the world’s most powerful water falls that is Murchison Falls, the main attraction of the park. |

DAY 3: MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK TO KIDEPO VALLEY NATIONAL PARK |

On this safari day, we shall wake up very early; with our packed breakfast, we shall embark on a very early morning game drive in search for leopards as they come back from hunting and lions as the set in for hunting. We will also be able to see several herbivores moving out of their hideouts to enjoy the morning pastures with dew. The sounds of early birds will fascinate your morning.
After our morning game drive, we will transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park. Situated in the far north eastern corner of Uganda, Kidepo Valley National Park is commonly referred to as the true African wilderness. The park is one of the remotest and virgin safari destinations in Uganda. It is blessed with abundance of wildlife flora and fauna, beautiful scenery and rich local cultures of the Karamojong and the surrounding communities. You will have packed lunch enroute. |

DAY 4: KIDEPO VALLEY NATIONAL PARK |

You On this safari day, we shall explore the park to its fullest with a morning and evening/sunset game drives that shall offer opportunities to encounter many different animal, birds and plant species. You will have a full day game viewing through the park.
After a lazy breakfast, we shall carry our packed lunch-(recommended) and embark on our long day wildlife game drive (morning and evening/sunset) through Kidepo Valley National Park.
While on our game drives, we shall be on the lookout for different residents of the park that include but not limited to the following; Lions, leopards, Giraffes, Buffaloes, Elephants, Zebras and many other different animal and bird species including the ostriches.
Later after your sunset game drive, you will return for dinner and an overnight stay at the Lodge. |

DAY 5: KIDEPO VALLEY NATIONAL PARK TO KARATUNGA |

Wake up very early in the morning, take your breakfast and embark on a transfer to Moroto; the land rich with the Karamojong culture. The journey exposes you to many herds of cattle, scenic views and many Karamojong scattered communities of.
Upon arrival, you will have lunch at Kara Tunga lodge. You will later spend the rest of the day enjoying the Karamojong cultural experience; understanding their way of living, feeding and socializing.
You will visit their Manyatas, and involve in and enjoy their cultural dances. |

Day 6: KARATUNGA TO JINJA |

After a lazy breakfast, you will embark on a half-day people and culture experience. You will have a community walk through the local Karamojong communities.
These communities have unique cultures and ways of life that will give you an experience with the true African cultures. You will be glanced with many kraals, the Manyatas ‘Clustered grass thatched African tents’ that are habitat for the Karamojong people.
Later after your lunch, you will embark on a transfer to Jinja, the source of the Nile; The Adventure Capital of East Africa to enjoy some of the many water sports activities there or to just chill and relax.

Day 7: JINJA TO ENTEBBE |

Today you have an optional morning with a number of choices, you can choose to go rafting on the river Nile, or go Bungee Jumping, Quad Biking, visit the source of the Nile, go on a city walking adventure, horse riding or simply chill at your lodge.
After lunch, we shall set off for the transfer to Entebbe for your international flight. |

We advise that bookings be made atleast 90 Days before date of arrival so that proper accommodation arrangements can be made especially in Kidepo Valley National Park. Activities at Jinja are entirely optional thus they are not included in the total cost of the trip.
