Safari Overview:
This four days fly in safari is designed for those who have less time and want to trek gorillas in Uganda. It allows you to avoid the long drives from Entebbe to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will spend two hours flying and approximately two hours in road transfers from the airstrip (Kihihi/Kisoro) to Buhoma/Rushaga
Being close to a family of wild mountain gorillas in the deep misty jungle of Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park is utterly magical; nothing can ever prepare you for such an experience – their sheer beauty, brawn and soulful brown eyes, their astonishingly human-like expressions or their extraordinarily gentle demeanor. One hour with these gentle creatures – 60 minutes, is all it takes to change your whole life’s experience.
NOTE:
Depending on the availability of gorilla permits at the time of your confirmation, you may trek gorillas in Buhoma, Ruhija, Rushaga or Nkuringo sectors of Bwindi.

DAY 1: ENTEBBE |

You will arrive at Entebbe International Airport and will be met by our representative who will transfer you to your booked hotel at Entebbe. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. |

DAY 2: ENTEBBE – BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK |

| This morning, you will be picked by your guide at 06:30 hrs for the transfer to Entebbe Airport for your 07:05 hrs scheduled domestic flight to Kisoro arriving at 08:30 hrs. On arrival at Kisoro, you shall be received by your guide who shall give you a detailed briefing about your safari and thereafter go on a 2 hours road transfer to your lodge that is tacked on the edges of the Impenetrable forest.
Check in at the lodge, have lunch and thereafter in the evening go on a community encounter with the local people. The community tour is insightful into the ways of living of the local people as you meet up with local herbs men, black smiths, and brewers among others. Have dinner and overnight at your lodge. |

DAY 3: BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK |

| Wake up very early to prepare for the supposed most significant highlight of your safari, the remarkable meet with the Gentle Giants! After breakfast, we take a drive to the park offices where you will be briefed about the dos and don’ts of the jungle and then you will be off for a forever-memorable adventure of your life. Trekking through the steep, densely forested hills of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and then finally coming across the gorillas cloaked in the foliage is an amazing experience, and indescribable because of the difficulty to paint a verbal picture of the vegetation, terrain, smells, colors and the animated entertainment from the gorillas and other residents of the jungle. After your tracking, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Do not leave these items behind; sunscreen, insect repellent, your passport, camera, hiking boots, long safari pants and long sleeved shirts or T-shirts plus a light rain jacket. Please avoid very bright and hot colored clothes- These not only attract insects to you but also can be offensive to the residents of the jungle. These items will come in handy as you go through the thick forest and encounter the unpredictable weather of Bwindi: Expect rain or sunshine anytime. |

DAY 4: ENTEBBE - DEPARTURE |

| You shall have breakfast at 06:30 hrs. 07:30 hrs transfer to Kisoro Airstrip on a 2 hours’ drive for your scheduled flight to Entebbe (09:30 hrs/11:30 hrs). Our representative shall drop you off at Protea Hotel where you shall have a day use room until 18:00 hrs when you will be transferred back to the airport for your International outbound flight. | ||

Book This Tour
This Safari is available for booking for both Private and Group Travelers. Gorilla Tracking Permits are highly competitive and thus advance booking is always highly recommended. A one time Gorilla Permit costs $700 per person and its only valid for the particular dates booked for and as indicated in the itinerary, there is no refund for the Gorilla Permit fees should there be any Cancellations of the tour after booking. Please note that you will be grouped with other trackers while on the Gorilla tracking experience, exclusive tracking experiences call for extra charges.
